About the TATA AIG Scholarship
Launched in 2020, the TATA AIG Scholarship Program, an initiative under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts of TATA AIG, is designed to support girl students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds in India who aspire to pursue higher education in the fields of Engineering and Medicine. The scholarship program is jointly run by TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited and Avanti Fellows.
The Scholarship program provides comprehensive support to selected scholars, including financial assistance, mentorship, and career guidance. The aim is to equip these scholars with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in their chosen fields and become the torch-bearers of change in their communities.
By providing financial support for their education, including tuition fees, living expenses, study materials, and a one-time gift of a brand-new laptop, the TATA AIG scholarship program is a highly impactful initiative that is helping to transform the lives of talented and deserving girl students from underserved communities in India.
The TATA AIG Scholarship program has supported more than 300 students who are pursuing Engineering and Medical streams in prestigious institutes across the country. The beneficiaries of this scholarship program shall receive financial aid for the duration of their undergraduate education (4 to 5 years depending on the course of study).

Across all these themes, the overall CSR outreach in FY2023-24 was more than 1,71,000 lives in collaboration with several NGO partners.

External Awards and Recognitions: TATA AIG has won prestigious Institute of Directors (IOD’s) Golden Peacock National Award for CSR, 2023 under ‘Insurance’ category. TATA AIG’s CSR interventions to promote girl child education in North-East India through Scholarships and Coaching for Competitive exams were recognized as a Best Practice in Tata Group during Tata Affirmative Action Program (TAAP) Convention 2024.
